Many items distributed by work.technica are funded by so-called Group Buys. Group Buy model is a crowdfunding system established in the custom keyboard scene. These items have not yet been manufactured and are instead crowdfunded so they can be produced. Your "pre-order" is legally seen as a loan, so we can produce the item for you. Once the production is finished, the products are received by us, quality controlled and finally shipped to you. Once we ship your crowdfunding loan turns legally into a purchase, and that's when you can receive an invoice.
The dates given include a buffer to account for delays in production, so items may ship ahead of time when received early. Unexpected delays can happen, so it may take longer to ship.
The primary reasons for hosting group buys are that these products are very expensive to produce and are made on demand in small quantities.
Group buy items are designed with a specific audience in mind. They are made on demand and in small quantities. Only the group buy model makes it possible for the production run to happen at all.
Unless stated otherwise, items are considered custom art/design items. Due to their limited and custom nature, they are not refundable. After the order has been placed, it can't be refunded. Only in case of severe manufacturing defects may an exception be made.

You can follow our group buys on our Discord and in the regular BLOG updates. Current rough production ETA for each major product run is around 8-12 months. During that time, you will be able to change your delivery address if needed. After the production is completed, you will be informed so you can modify your initial order by adding extra items if needed.
